Grade 2 Activities

Party, let's party, let's take it from the top.
Party, let's party, the fun will never stop.
Party, let's party, 'cause this is where it's at.
Party, let's party, put on your party hat.

Wo wo wo - we said wo wo wo
Wo wo wo - now let's go go go

Party, let's party, let's take it from the top.
Party, let's party, the fun will never stop.
Party, let's party, 'cause this is where it's at.
Party, let's party, put on your party hat.

When I got up this morning, I jumped right out of bed.
And then without a warning, a hat was on my head.
This hat will keep me dry, I said protect me from the sun.
I cannot tell a lie, I said this hat is really fun
And the fun has just begun!

Party, let's party, let's take it from the top.
Party, let's party, the fun will never stop.
Party, let's party, 'cause this is where it's at.
Party, let's party, put on your party hat.

Santa Claus is Coming To Town from our school sing-along!

Currently, in 2nd grade, we are learning about 2 pitches called sol and mi.  One picture shows a student playing sol and mi while the class plays Doggie Doggie.

We are also practicing using our in-tune singing voice and hitting the "bullseye" with our voice.

Second graders are playing a singing game called "Criss Cross Applesauce."

We have been learning about the music staff in second grade.

The music staff has 5 lines, 4 spaces, and we number them with line 1 starting at the bottom.
Can you count the lines and spaces on the staff below?

Can you tell where these notes are on the staff - for example, line 2 or space 4?

Our outstanding 2nd grade performance from March 2017!!!
